Chesapeake Bay Poster Prints

With the weather getting warmer, all of us here at Posterburner are getting anxious to get out the on the water.

Living around the Chesapeake Bay most of our lives, it feels natural to come out of our winter hideouts, stretch, dust of the recreational gear and take to seas.

With that in mind I went looking for some decent photos of the Chesapeake Bay to print and put up around the office. Interestingly enough, I found a nice little treasury of public domain images from our dutiful officials at NOAA.

Here are a few pictures that we liked.

1. Fog Over the Chesapeake Bay

Fog accumulates in the early morning sun over the cool waters of the Chesapeake bay.

2. Chesapeake Bay Sailing

A squall line is probably the last thing you want to see on a nice day on the water. Unfortunately, these sailors will have to head for port a little sooner than they may have hoped.

3. Patuxent River

Not exactly of the season, but this is a great image of an autumn morning on the Patuxent River at Wayson's Corner.

4. Driftwood Beach

Driftwood, my favorite shoreline decor, rests quietly along this beautiful Chesapeake shoreline.
