5 Handy Tools to Make Your Own Poster

Created On: 9/18/2017

Do you want to make your own poster, but maybe you aren’t sure where to start? Then this handy list of tools is for you! We put together a few of our favorite tools that you can use to create your own stunning posters.

Your Smart Phone for the Perfect Pic

I don’t know about you, but whenever I am on any type of adventure I whip out my phone to take pics. I’m not the best photographer in the world, but I’ve taken some pretty spectacular images that I think would make excellent posters!

So when I started thinking about tools for this list, my phone was the first thing that came to mind. Most amateur pics taken today are snapped using a smart phone camera. Let’s face it, phone cameras have come a long way baby, and the cam on your phone is probably better than many of the stand-alone cameras out there.

Add in the fact that most people have their phone with them 24/7 and you can see why we put the smart phone at the top of our list ;)

Add Creative Flare with Adobe Spark

At one time you had to be a trained graphic designer to create eye catching posters, but no more. Today there are a number of free, easy to use tools like Adobe Spark that you can use to enhance your images.

Want to turn your favorite sports shot into an inspirational poster? Upload it to Adobe Spark, add your favorite quote, and download the file. It really is as simple as that.

Want to create a poster but don’t have an image you want to use? Adobe Spark also provides free, high-quality images you can use to create your poster.

Use Free Images and Templates in Canva

Another favorite image editing tool for creating wall worthy posters is Canva. They have an easy to use drag-and-drop interface and tons of easy to follow tutorials.

You can choose from their thousands of free images, icons, illustrations, frames, and etc. or use one of their professional looking templates. Once you’re done with your masterpiece, you just download it as a .png file.

Touch it Up with PicMonkey

Do you have a selfie or family photo that you would love to use to make your own poster, except for that zit right on the end of your nose? Or perhaps you have a great landscape that would look even better without that contrail across the sky? Well, then PicMonkey is the tool to use!

The cool thing about PicMonkey is that it has image editing tools similar to Adobe Photoshop. BUT, you don’t need a design degree and 100 hours of instruction (<- hyperbole alert) to figure out how to use it.

You can quickly touch up your images to remove imperfections, so they are poster ready.

Holiday Shipping

Holiday Shipping Times & Cut Off We are currently able to ship all print types in time for the holidays, but the sooner you order, the better. Shipping companies are advising to ship packages for holiday delivery by December 16th. Many packages shipped after the 16th will still arrive in time for the holidays, but they are not guaranteeing it. While we do not have full control over the shipping and transit times, here is our best guess at the realistic cutoff dates. West Coast: Order by December 16th Central: Order By December 20th East Coast: Order by December 21st
