Three Classic Americana Posters
This week we decorated the PosterBurner.com office with custom posters of classic American paintings. Here are three of the images we used to create the posters:
1. Washington Crossing the Delaware, 1851

If you visited the Washington DC museums as a child, you will definitely remember Emanuel Leutze's famous painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware during the revolutionary war.

3. Declaration of Independence, 1817

If you can remember $2 dollar bills, you'll probably recognize this scene by John Trumbull of the signing of the declaration. It's engraved on the back of the bill. All our founding fathers coming together as one for the benefit of their fellow man. Coincidentally, if you look close enough you can see Jefferson stepping on John Adams' toes.
